That man would raise his head up, looking dead into the lens of the camera pointed at him. Those lips of his would curl up into a smirk as his eyes closed slowly. His lips parting, he uttered one...simple...phrase.
“ And...THAT'S the only Answer you'll ever need. “
The scene paused right there.. A camera turned to face Kaylyn who was staring blank at the screen. Her hand was covering her stomach and she looked completely out of it. Heather had been sitting next to her, and it was she who spoke first breaking the silence, and also getting Kay to come to.
Heather: “So, is that him?”
Kay: “Yeah.. that's him.” She said quietly, barely audible.
Heather: “How long was he training you?”
Kay: “Five years. Fresh out of high school. I was eighteen when he took me under his wing. Then one day he just... disappeared. I stayed to myself for a few weeks, then got off my ass and started training again. I was not going to just give up everything I had worked for.”
Heather: “It's a good thing you didn't. You are great in the ring. Kay... how long were you two together?”
Kay turned to look at Heather not wanting to even talk anymore right now.
Kay: “Two and a half years. He was the first person that meant something to me. Outside of Adrean and Tony.. but they were just friends.. he was more than that. I never thought I would see him again.. and now seeing him coming here of all places... it's a smack in the face that I am not ready to handle. I don't think I can face him. I don't know what to do.”
Heather: “Kay listen.. you got me. I'll help you through this... I am not going anywhere.”
Kay smiled, laying her head back on the couch. Showing this side of her was not something she liked to do.. not something she had done since talking to Aurora.. and she hated showing it. Hated showing that at times.. she really did care. The camera turned back to the freeze frame on the television before fading to nothing.[/font]
