I think what he's asking is, where he's going wrong in his promos, and why he keeps losing.
If I'm mistaken, mea culpa.
Well you're already aware that one of your big hurdles is length. Length isn't just how long a promo is, but how well you use it. However, if you have a great two page promo and your opponent does a great three page promo, he's likely beaten you in at least that category.
You really want to work on length, point/counterpoint and that should help improve your over all promos. As a note? Ignoring someone else's points doesn't make them mean any less.
Hope that helps.

howdy Pal, names Frankie.B and I dont think we have talked before. but seeing that you have been here asking for help that tells me that you really have a passion for this, and just want to get better at what you do.
I can give some advice and it might be telling you the same shit but in a different way it might sink in a little better that way ( you never know ) so if I tell you something that helps then Great and if not Sorry pal, but here ya go
When it comes to length in a promo, if you dont keep it interesting or make a decent point then it dont mean jack,
You can be the best judge of your work just by reading it the next day, Write something tonight, then go back and read it word for word, if you get a laugh, or feel like you made one hell of a point then you got something worth posting, if it dont read up to your liking the next day then start over and do it again,
but all and all remember if your not having fun writing it, then reading it isnt going to be any fun at all for anyone else.
Going for distance is hard to do at first but let it flow. Write a little bit and when you feel like you write enough, then take a break, kick back and chill out for a wile, hell take the day and do something else, take your mind off writing and then come back relax and do a little bit more, keep going until you feel impressed with what you wrote. take the rest of that day off and then the next day go back and read it for yourself.
If it is a great read to you then post it. if not then take what you liked best about it, pull it out and peace it together.
but remember you can add a decent amount to your RPs with some story line, fill in the blanks about where he came from, tell the ACW what he is doing where he is at, give us everything you can think of,
here is an idea, pretend your rp is you selling something, you got to tell the buyer everything... and I do mean everything that they want to know even if they dont ask for the info,
By being descriptive is a good way to set the scene and make it fell as if the reader is in the picture instead of just reading a page.
I hope this heps man, and if you have any questions for me that I might be able to help with feel free to PM me or even send me an Email or im via AIM my S/N in fbilly26@aol.com
And if I can help I will, and if not Ill still try my best.
